On August 17 to 22, 2018, the 12th National Final of the Donghua Science and Technology-Shangu Cup National College Chemical Design Competition was held in Zhongnan University. The Simba Team in the School of Petrochemical Engineering of our university stood out from 1852 teams of 333 universities and won the National Final Grand Prize and Excellent Award for the Application of Modern Design Methods.

    The School of Petrochemical Engineering in our University has participated in the competition since 2011. Based on the competition to designthe training mode, it has established the Chemical Design Association to guided students to pay attention to the hot spots and application topics in the industry, strengthen special basic skills, and train to solve complex engineering problems. It has won four Grand Prize in National Finals in eight years.
